Schuster’s future has been in doubt after the nine-time European champions crashed out of the Champions League at the last 16 stage for the fourth year in succession

“The club had and still has full confidence in Bernd Schuster,” the club said in a statement, slamming “unjustifiable and totally false information published in certain media”.

AUSTRIA EURO 2008

Euro 2008The UEFA Euro 2008 Championships are being co-hosted by Austria and Switzerland this time. Like the FIFA World Cup, the Euro Championships are held every 4 years and the tournament is considered second only to the FIFA World Cup. The first match will be played in Basle on 7th June 2008 and Switzerland will be playing against the Czech Republic in the opening match of the tournament.

Transfer speculation: Andriy Shevchenko from Chelsea to AC Milan

After losing out to Arsenal’s earlier this week, the AC Milan fans might have found something to cheer about!

As earlier reported, Silvio is having talks with Chelsea striker Didier Drogba for a possible transfer. Now he has said that he wants Andriy Shevchenko to rescue AC Milan instead of Emmanuel Adebayor or Didier Drogba.

“I regularly hear from Andriy,” Silvio Berlusconi (President of AC Milan) told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“And I believe that Roman Abramovich will have no difficulties letting him go.”
