After losing out to Arsenal’s earlier this week, the AC Milan fans might have found something to cheer about!
As earlier reported, Silvio is having talks with Chelsea striker Didier Drogba for a possible transfer. Now he has said that he wants Andriy Shevchenko to rescue AC Milan instead of Emmanuel Adebayor or Didier Drogba.
“I regularly hear from Andriy,” Silvio Berlusconi (President of AC Milan) told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“And I believe that Roman Abramovich will have no difficulties letting him go.”
“The fans should understand that it would be the right choice. ”
“Andriy is a personable player and represents the best solution for us.”
While Shevchenko hasn’t been a big part of the Champions League, this might spice up somethings for him.
“I know Drogba’s name is at the top of many people’s list and Adebayor did a good job against us but, truthfully, the guy who I’m certain represents the best and quickest solution for this club is Andriy Shevchenko” said Berlusconi.
“I find myself thinking about him all the time when I consider our situation and I desperately miss him. I talk to him a great deal too and now I’m quite sure that Roman Abramovich will not find any difficultieas at all in letting him return.”
