Fernando Torres is on fire!! He scored 26 goals in 35 games for Liverpool and his stunner moved Liverpool in the next round of Champions League against Inter Milan.
The 23 year old Spaniard, Fernando Torres, proved himself as one of the best strikers in football.
Torres was the youngest player for Atlético Madrid and he becomes the youngest captain after just two years. In his five season period with Atlético Madrid in La Liga, he scored 75 goals.
Torres moved to Liverpool this year when he scored his first goal against Chelsea on 11 August 2007, in a 1-1 draw. Since then, the Spanish hitman is just unstoppable. He already struck 26 goals in 35 games. Torres recent form is unbelievable with scoring 8 goals in just last 5 matches. He was the goal hero in the Champions League second-leg match against Inter Milan.
Torres striker partner, Dirk Kuyt said: “Fernando is just special. It is amazing to score this many goals in his first season in England. He is getting them in the league and in Europe. Other teams now are very worried by him but you could see with the way he put away his one chance of the night just how dangerous he is. The rest of the players seem to think he will score in every game.”
