Owen keeps New Castle’s hopes high!

Michael OwenBirmingham vs New Castle United ended as a Draw (1-1). James McFadden and Michael Owen were the goal Scorers. The match was very important for both the teams as they are facing relegation issues. Kevin Keegan is happy with the results.

But Keegan is optimistic that, with Owen, Mark Viduka and Martins all finally fit, he will not have to wait too long for his side’s first win since his return to the manager’s chair at St James’ Park.

The England Team Manager Fabio Capello was also watched the match and said “Owen net for the third time in six games in the 1-1 draw at St Andrews and the former Liverpool and Real Madrid striker is close to reestablishing himself as a feared match-winner.

Birmingham boss Alex McLeish was satisfied with a point that edged his side a tiny bit further away from the bottom three.
