Manchester City’s target: Giovani dos Santos!

Manchester City is targeting the 18-year old Barcelona’s striker, Giovanni dos Santos. According to Giovanni’s father Zizinho, he is the leading target for Manchester City.
Giovanni joined Barcelona’s senior ranks ahead of schedule last season, but this season, he wasn’t lucky to appear much in the first team.
Manchester City’s boss, Sven Goran Eriksson, is likely to arm his team this transfer period and Giovanni would be the idle candidate to be recruited in Manchester City’s squad.
Zizinho told Mexican newspaper El Universal: “There is interest from Manchester City however I cannot give more information now as Giovanni’s agent is the one in charge of all this. It’s him who is dealing with negotiations. I can’t say for sure if Giovanni will go to another team. There are still games to play in La Liga and while there are he’s only thinking about Barcelona. We don’t want to get ahead of ourselves, there is interest but first he has to concentrate on Barcelona.”
Giovani dos Santos appeared in 25 games this season in all competitions and scored once in the Champions League match against Stuttgart.
